In our “Another Delighted Client” series, we talk with Jerry Errigo, a father of two, about his experience working with Smedley Law Group Senior Counsel Alison B. Weinroth, Esq. during his divorce.

Q. How did you find Alison Weinroth, Esq., and why did you choose Smedley Law Group to represent you?

Jerry Errigo: I’d first like to thank Alison Weinroth and her team at Smedley Law Group. Alison came highly recommended from a family member. I had spoken to a few top lawyers, including Alison. I decided that Alison was by far the best attorney to handle my situation.

From the beginning of my divorce, Alison first contacted me immediately and spent just over an hour listening to what I said, and gave me advice along the way. Not only did she listen, but she also paid attention. I was impressed at how she has been able to dig into her “mental notes” and remember some of the smallest details I mentioned on day one. Her ability to explain, in plain terms, and make me understand from a professional standpoint what was going on, and what was going to happen, was amazing.

After my first talk with Alison, I knew she was the one. Two other attorneys I spoke with didn’t have the same ability to make me feel as secure, and in good hands, like she did.

Q. Did you have any concerns going into your divorce, and how did Ms. Weinroth address those?

JE: I knew this situation was going to be emotionally hard and stressful, and I assume most divorces can be intimidating to a male. I also assumed that retaining a top attorney in family law wasn’t going to be inexpensive. As it turned out, I actually got much more than I expected for Alison’s professional services, and I’m beyond grateful.

Due to Alison’s intelligence in law from both sides of the court, the experience was actually very easy. I can use the word “easy” as there was never a moment that Alison wasn’t a phone call or email away to answer any question I had. She never pushed me aside or left me waiting for a callback. She was prompt, and so is her team. This made me very comfortable. I knew that if I needed to communicate anything to her, it was a simple phone call away.

Q. How did you feel about the way that Ms. Weinroth handled your case?

JE: As far as the handling of my actual divorce and the courts, Alison’s dominance cannot be matched. There was nothing she didn’t have the right answer or resolution for, that was in my best interest. Having Alison in my corner gave me the comfort and confidence to never have to worry I was being pushed or steered in the wrong direction. Alison is pure class, and has the swag to make other attorneys feel “small.”

Q. What was your experience of working with the Smedley Law Group team?

JE: The Smedley Law Group team gave me services that couldn’t be matched by the top attorneys in my area. Hearing horror stories of other unfortunate divorce situations, I knew that Alison’s team handled me with care. I’d also say Alison made my divorce happen for a fraction of what I anticipated I’d spend; never once did I feel I was “lining someone’s pockets.” Instead, I felt that my best interests were always Alison’s top priority.

Q. Do you feel that Alison helped you achieve the vision of your life that you envisioned when you first engaged the firm? How would you describe your life now?

JE: The outcome of my divorce got me everything I wanted. We kept things civil with my now ex-wife. I felt that I received what I deserved to walk away from my marriage with, and most importantly, I got the confidence to move on with my life, knowing I was treated fairly and with the utmost respect.

I truly thank Alison and her team at Smedley Law Group, and would recommend her to anyone going into this situation no one ever anticipates, but happens. My divorce is finalized, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with Alison’s willingness to go above and beyond for me.

Choosing Alison to represent me was the best advice I was ever given. If you’re reading this and contemplating a divorce, or selecting an attorney, I suggest you do the same. You’ll be in good hands, and I can assure that from my experience with her and Smedley Law Group.
