Tom Vernon, Jr. supports the attorneys at Smedley Law Group by providing comprehensive legal and administrative assistance that helps ensure every client receives organized, responsive, and compassionate service. With over five years of experience in legal support roles, Tom brings a well-rounded background in legal research, document preparation, and case management to the firm.
Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Rowan University before completing Rowan College of South Jersey’s Paralegal Study Program. He later graduated from Widener University Delaware Law School with his Juris Doctor in 2024. Throughout law school, he completed successful internships at firms specializing in estate planning, foreclosure law, and criminal defense. Prior to joining Smedley Law Group, Tom supported firms specializing in debt collection and DUI cases.

I believe that exceptional legal service requires more than legal knowledge—it requires genuine human connection. In addition to my formal legal training, my 10+ years of management and customer service experience have taught me to prioritize empathy, build trusting relationships with clients, and provide reliable support during what is often one of the most difficult periods of their lives.
